في ظل الممانعة والمعوقات الدائمة التي يفرضها الجانب الإسرائيلي على دخول احتياجات قطاع خدمات المياه والصرف الصحي في قطاع غزة من مواد ومعدات وقطع غيار وكان آخرها منع دخول بعض المواد الكيميائية التي تستخدم في معالجة مياه الشرب وخاصة مادة الكلور التي تستخدم في تعقيم مياه الشرب ، وما يترتب عليه من عدم القدرة على تطهير مياه الشرب، فإن مصلحة المياه تعلن عن تخوفها الشديد من حدوث كارثة صحية نتيجة ل احتمال تلوث مياه الشرب وانتشار الأمراض والأوبئة لدى مواطني قطاع غزة.
لذلك فإن مصلحة المياه تهيب بجميع المؤسسات الإنسانية الدولية التدخل لدى الجانب الإسرائيلي للسماح بدخول هذه المواد وخاصةً الكلور والتوقف عن استهداف هذا القطاع الهام لحياة الفلسطينيين في قطاع غزة.
كما نوجه عناية السادة المواطنين في ظل هذه الأزمة بضرورة غلي الماء قبل استخداماته المنزلية.

Appeal
Under the shadow of the continuous objections and obstacles imposed by the Israeli Side on the materials, equipments, and spare parts necessary for providing water and wastewater in the Gaza Strip in general, and the Chlorine in particular; which will affect the CMWU capability to disinfect the drinking water that is supplied to the 1.5 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.
As a result, the CMWU is raising its major concern of health disaster due to a possible contamination of the drinking water, hence forth spread of diseases and epidemics in the Gaza Strip.
Therefore, the CMWU is appealing the international and humanitarian organizations to press on the Israeli Side to allow the entry of all those stuck materials and in particular the chlorine and neutralize this important sector to the Palestinians life in the Gaza Strip from any political conflict.
