One of the most difficult adjustments from American University of Beirut to Boise State University is the utter lack of intellectual stimulation here. I went from a university that held various lectures and cultural events from scholars around the world to a university that has none.
Or…wait…perhaps one? Not quite. Apparently, Boise State seems to think that inviting a “judge” who works for Fox News constitutes as academic/intellectual debate: Judge Andrew Napolitano is speaking on “The Constitution in Exile” next week. But it seems to me that a “Senior Judicial Analyst” with Fox News negates the very possibility of discussing the ways in which the U.S. constitution has been eroded under the current administration, with the support of Fox News, CNN, and the like.
